Additional information can be found at www.ttm.com The Senior Process Engineer provides sustaining engineering support for manufacturing processes involved in the design and production of electronic components and assemblies. Through both individual and team-based technical work, this role is responsible for supporting process and equipment integration, establishing operating conditions to produce high-quality products, monitoring process performance, and conducting failure analyses to identify and mitigate process risks. The Senior Process Engineer serves as a technical leader within the organization, partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Program Management, and customers to drive process optimization, new product introduction, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position ensures manufacturing processes meet quality, safety, and production objectives while supporting long-term operational excellence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve manufacturing issues through engineering methodologies, data collection, statistical analysis, and root cause investigation while maintaining quality standards.
- Develop, document, maintain, and standardize production processes and procedures to support efficient manufacturing operations.
- Monitor process performance and ensure consistency through process controls and operational oversight.
- Compile and evaluate test data to establish process limits, material specifications, and operating parameters.
- Perform failure mode and effects analyses (FMEA) to identify process failure points and implement corrective actions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events, 5S activities, and process optimization efforts.
- Support both manual and automated manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality.
- Partner with Program teams and customers on product design and process development to support new product introduction and transfer to production.
- Execute capital equipment projects, including market analysis, equipment selection, procurement justification, installation, and implementation.
- Interface with customers, engineers, technicians, production personnel, and support staff to meet organizational objectives.
- Serve as the Responsible Engineering Authority (REA) for assigned product lines, preparing process changes, additions, and modifications to support production readiness.
- Support advanced manufacturing initiatives, including Industry 4.0 and digital transformation efforts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and manufacturing processes.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

- Applies advanced engineering principles, theories, and concepts to solve complex technical and manufacturing challenges.
- Works independently with limited supervision while exercising sound engineering judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Serves as a technical resource and mentor to engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel.
- Leads cross-functional initiatives and drives process improvements across multiple manufacturing areas.
- Evaluates process risks and implements corrective and preventive actions to improve operational performance.
- May lead projects or project teams with responsibility for timelines, deliverables, and implementation activities.
- Typically requires 8-10 years of related engineering experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process controls, and sustaining engineering practices.
- Hands-on, analytical approach to process and mechanical problem solving.
- Experience with mechanical assembly, tooling, and fixture design.
- Thorough knowledge of process improvement methodologies, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE), and structured problem-solving techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with Minitab and basic programming is preferred.
- Aptitude for supporting advanced manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- Proficiency with CAD software and familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) practices.
- Strong mathematical and statistical analysis skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to partner across Engineering, Quality, Operations, and external customers.
- Ability to react quickly to changing priorities and develop timely solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining quality and customer focus.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Education and Experience Education
- Bachelor's degree in Ceramic Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, , Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
Experience
- Typically requires 8-10 years of direct engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting high-reliability manufacturing processes preferred.
- Experience leading continuous improvement and capital equipment projects strongly preferred.
- Experience with statistical analysis, process control methodologies, and new product introduction preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to lift and/or move materials weighing up to 45 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, chemicals, and varying environmental conditions.
- Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
Environmental, Health, and Safety Responsibilities
- Follow all company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
- Ensure manufacturing processes are conducted safely and in compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.
- Participate in required EHS training and support continuous improvement of workplace safety initiatives.
- Immediately report safety concerns, incidents, and near misses.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
