Overview

The Senior Healthcare Transition Project Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and tactical execution of project activities on a complex healthcare facility transition project, either individually or through supervision of less senior project staff.

Responsibilities

Senior Healthcare Transition Project Manager typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

    Serve as the interface between construction and hospital teams while planning the transition of clinical operations into new or renovated healthcare facilities which can include hospital, medical office buildings or outpatient services
  • Oversee the development of a custom project reporting structure in conjunction with client requirements
  • Plan and facilitate meetings involving internal and external stakeholders, such as the Owner, design team, vendors, hospital frontline managers and executive leadership
  • Oversee the development of project schedules
  • Serve as the direct point of contact for the client on the assigned projects
  • Present information to the client to facilitate decision making
  • Resolve project problems when multiple parties are involved
  • Make decisions and provide direction to subcontractors as required and consistent with the client's direction
  • Assert authority and accountability for managing the assigned project
  • Oversee adherence to contract
  • Manage the project financials and take accountability for project performance, making decisions on project expenditures in support of project execution
  • Supervise and train Assistant Transition Project Managers and Transition Project Managers
  • Conduct performance reviews for direct reports
  • Write and develop project proposals


Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • BS or MS degree in healthcare field and/or business administration
  • 3-5 years of project management experience in a healthcare setting, ideally involved in preparing clinical teams for relocation to a newly designed clinical space; part of logistics planning for hospital renovation projects, 1-2 years of consulting experience
  • Knowledgeable in medical equipment, specialized vendor planning, hospital operations, or healthcare related IT field
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience in a healthcare field

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access and Visio)
  • Demonstrates ability to work within excel and database applications interchangeably to sort, analyze, edit and import complex data
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Construction document literate with knowledge of all phases of construction
  • Knowledge of scheduling software
  • Detailed knowledge of healthcare or military healthcare
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex project teams
  • Ability to demonstrate insight on TPM consulting strategy and interest in strategy formation
  • Ability to travel up to 60% and flexibility to work weekends as necessary

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

The pay ranges from $130,000.00-$170,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
