The Change Management Consultant will support large-scale, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who excels at building trust quickly, navigating ambiguity, and driving meaningful change across teams and departments. As a Change Management Consultant at Medica, you'll execute structured change management programs, partner with leaders and project teams, and bring clarity, consistency, and accountability to complex, multi-year initiatives.

Key Accountabilities



  • Drive Change Across Strategic Initiatives

    • Serve as a dedicated change consultant embedded in major transformation programs.
    • Lead change management activities including impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, readiness planning, and risk identification.
    • Develop and execute communication, training, and reinforcement strategies that support adoption and long-term sustainability.
    • Assess risks, diagnose barriers, and translate insights into actionable steps that move teams forward.
    • Partner closely with initiative leads, project managers, HRBPs, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment, momentum, and accountability.




  • Build Credibility, Influence, and Cross-Functional Alignment

    • Establish strong, trusting relationships quickly-even with stakeholders new to structured change management.
    • Facilitate productive discussions, influence decision-making, and present with clarity and confidence to all levels.
    • Act as a generalist able to flex across business areas, projects, and operating styles.
    • Help teams understand the "why," align on expectations, and stay accountable throughout multi-year programs.




  • Support Program Management and Insights

    • Create repeatable approaches, structured processes, and practical playbooks that standardize change management work.
    • Track progress, identify gaps, and help teams stay organized and accountable.
    • Use tools and dashboards, reporting, or analytics to visualize progress and support data-driven storytelling.




Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field (e.g. Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership)
  • 7+ years of work experience beyond degree with a focus in enterprise change management, transformation change management and/or enterprise program management


Preferred Qualifications



  • Proven ability to drive change initiatives and organizational adoption in dynamic or evolving environment at the enterprise level
  • Change management or project management certification (e.g. Prosci, PMP or similar framework/methodology training)
  • Experience with data tools (e.g. Smartsheets or similar project management software)
  • Prior experience in change management within the health insurance industry
  • Collaborative, curious team player with ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
  • Experience successfully navigating a project through a time of enterprise transformation
  • Ability to create new processes while coaching on best practices


This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite at our Minnetonka, MN office, on average, 3 days per week.

The full salary grade for this position is $78,700 - $134,900. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $78,700 - $118,020. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to compensation, Medica offers a generous total rewards package that includes competitive medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, paid volunteer time off, 401K contributions, caregiver services and many other benefits to support our employees.
