Patient Service Representative Location: Greenvale, NY 11548 Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, or 10:00 AM-6:00 PM No Weekends Required About the Role We are seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join a busy medical practice in Greenvale, NY. This individual will serve as the face of the office, greeting patients, managing front desk operations, and ensuring a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate has at least one year of medical office experience and enjoys working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Cardiology experience is a plus. Responsibilities * Greet and check in patients with a welcoming and professional demeanor * Answer and direct incoming phone calls * Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and lab tests * Check out patients and review next steps * Verify insurance eligibility and benefits * Communicate with patients regarding appointments, testing, and results * Work with insurance companies to resolve patient and billing inquiries * Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation * Utilize EMR systems to manage patient information and scheduling * Support front office operations and administrative tasks as needed Qualifications Required: * 1+ year of experience as a Healthcare Receptionist, Medical Receptionist, or Patient Service Representative in a clinical setting * Experience scheduling appointments and managing patient flow * Experience communicating with patients and insurance companies * Insurance verification experience * Knowledge of medical documentation and records * Strong customer service and communication skills Preferred: * Experience in a Cardiology or Internal Medicine practice * Experience using an EMR/EHR system What We're Looking For * Outgoing and personable professional with a positive attitude * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to multitask in a busy medical office * Dependable team player who enjoys helping patients Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenvale, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
