TSC is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mid-Level Mechanisms Engineer to support our customer in Washington, DC. The Aerospace Mechanisms Engineer will design, analyze, and test complex moving mechanical assemblies for spacecraft, missile systems, and air platforms. This position requires experience developing flightcritical mechanisms, including motor drives, deployment hinges, latching mechanisms, and separation systems. The engineer will perform kinematic, structural, and thermal modeling to ensure mechanism performance and reliability in demanding aerospace environments. This role involves overseeing hardware development from conceptual design through manufacturing, environmental testing, and final flight qualification. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanisms into vehicle architectures while meeting strict mass, power, and interface constraints. Proficiency in CAD modeling is required, with Siemens NX preferred; familiarity with ANSI Y14.5 is also necessary. Required Qualifications:
In compliance with applicable pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position is $112,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience and location. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus and may include equity or incentive compensation as part of the total rewards package.
