POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse assigned, performs a variety of direct patient care activitiesin caring for the personal needs and comforts of the patient. Position: Certified Nursing Assistant Department: Geri Psych - Seton 7 West Schedule: Part Time 32 Hours, Days/Evenings Location: BMC South ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: Key Responsibilities:
Required Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of medical terminology is required.Ability to communicate effectively in English with staff and patients is required.Must be able to prioritize multiple requests to ensure timeliness and provide exceptional patient care.Must possess the skills to be compassionate, empathetic and responsive to the needs of a variety of patients. Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience:Previous experience as a nursing assistant preferred Certification/Licensure:Must possess a valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license or show proof of enrollment inaccredited nursing school and completion of the courses "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II." BLS from American Heart Association. Software/Hardware: Computer experience is preferred. Compensation Range: $18.15- $26.97This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
