Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Senior Specialist, Information Management with experience in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our growing team!

Role Summary

The Senior Specialist, Information Management is responsible for managing third party drafting resources, supporting As-built Services, and organization of technical documentation in Meridian.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:

Third Party Drafting Management



  • Coordinate with third-party drafters to manage drafting efforts and ensure timely completion of project drawings.
  • Be primary source of contact for third-party drafters communicating routinely to track progress, answer questions, and resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain a system to track progress through drafting, review, approval, and closeout.
  • Review IFC and as-built drawings across multiple disciplines for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
  • Perform backchecks to verify drawing corrections and ensure comments have been properly addressed.
  • Support as-built services by insuring that IFC packages, master drawings and redlines are all submitted to third party and track progress through completion.
  • Create redlines in Bluebeam and update project drawings using AutoCAD.



Technical Documentation Management



  • Organize technical documentation such as arc flash studies, data sheets, flow curves, and reports in Meridian in collaboration with engineering team.
  • Train third parties on the upload process.
    Respond to field requests and answer any questions related to drafting or engineering documents.
  • Continuously improve current workflows, and develop new work flows to increase efficiency and accuracy of work produc
  • Support the maintenance of the ESSP and RP library.



Other Responsibilities



  • Manage the service now ticketing system and assign CAD tasks to the appropriate third party.
  • As assigned, perform drawing package submission into document management system
  • As assigned, review engineering drawings against standard and provide feedback
  • And other duties as assigned.



Position Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 10+ years related experience is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with reviewing engineering drawings.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Travel Requirements: 10% travel possible.



Preferred Position Skills



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Proficiency using Meridian as a document management system.
  • Pipeline & terminal industry knowledge and experience.

  • None required.

  • This role continuously operates a computer and other office productivity equipment (i.e. a calculator, copy machine and computer printer).
  • The employee is frequently required to effectively communicate with others.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
