Provide the government customer information technology (IT) services and technical expertise to support a thoughtful transition from team-level Scrum agile methodology to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The Contractor will support both the operational transition and ongoing development activities, ensuring continuity of delivery while establishing SAFe practices, structures, and governance. Additional information about the SAFe framework can be found at SAFe 6.0 (scaledagileframework.com). In addition, we will assist the government customer with the design, architecture and implementation of a secure application development environment (ADV) specifically engineered to accelerate the organization's SAFe transformation. This environment must integrate automated security controls directly into the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and prioritize developer productivity and autonomy. Furthermore, the ADV must enable Zero Trust architecture that scales across distributed teams without compromising the Lean-Agile mindset. The program will support the following activities: SAFe implementation, software development/enhancement/deployment, O&M, and information & system security. Location: This position will be on-site in Winchester, VA. Clearance: Top Secret with ability to get SCI The Systems Engineer - Mid provides systems engineering and architecture support for planning, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, O&M, and sustainment activities under the program. This role supports network hardware, operating systems, attached devices, cloud and on-premise platforms, system diagrams, infrastructure integration, system monitoring, patching, configuration management, and technical troubleshooting. The Systems Engineer supports systems and related IMD systems, ensuring architectures remain reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with government standards. Lead or support design, development, testing, integration, and deployment of software applications, microservices, APIs, and system enhancements. * Support systems engineering and architecture activities for IT systems across planning, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and O&M. * Perform additions and changes to network hardware, operating systems, and attached devices, including investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation, and testing. * Provide day-to-day operational support for network hardware, operating systems, system utilization, response time monitoring, and resolution of operational problems. * Troubleshoot network and system issues at the physical and logical levels using network measurement tools, communication protocols, and system diagnostics. * Create and maintain system diagrams for virtual and physical architectures, data flows, and networking. * Support design, deployment, evaluation, testing, certification, patching, interoperability, dependencies, and system accreditation activities. * Ensure systems remain current with approved patches and assist with SOPs, Quick Reference Guides, and system documentation. * Provide technical consultation, training, and support to IT staff as designated by the government. Required Skills: * Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years or more of experience * Minimum 5 years of relevant systems engineering, infrastructure, network, or systems administration experience. * Experience with network hardware, operating systems, attached devices, virtualization technologies, and network administration. * Experience with TCP/IP, communication protocols, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support. * Experience supporting patching, configuration management, system documentation, and interoperability testing. * Ability to support system design, deployment, integration, testing, certification, and accreditation-related tasks. * Active Top Secret clearance Preferred Skills * Current SAFe Agile Software Engineer certification. * Experience supporting AWS GovCloud, AWS SC2S, AWS C2S, SCOP, or classified enclave environments. * Experience with Splunk monitoring, vulnerability remediation, server patching/hardening, ATO documentation, RMF support, and PoAM remediation. * Experience developing system diagrams, CONOPS/SSP inputs, O&M plans, configuration management plans, and technical roadmaps. * Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated monitoring, logging, and observability. * Familiarity with federal cybersecurity and system sustainment requirements.
