The Tai Research Group at UMass Chan Medical School in the Department of Genetic and Cellular Medicine is inviting applications for postdoctoral positions to pursue research topics that encompass the mechanisms governing adeno-associated virus infection and AAV-based vector transduction.

Applicants should have a PhD degree or an MD with post-graduate scientific training, and at least three years of research experience in relevant areas such as Molecular Biology, RNA biology, Biochemistry, animal modeling, Gene Therapy, Cell Therapy, Bioengineering, Cell Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Virology.

Applicants with backgrounds in molecular biology, mouse work, NHP work, gene editing, microscopy, human and mouse genetics, next-gen sequencing, bioinformatics, or single-cell sequencing.

Applicants must also have the ability to work independently and coordinate multiple projects, concurrently. Strong writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills are required.

Candidates should be highly organized, hard-working, and motivated to respond to changes within the rapidly evolving field of gene therapy.
