Join Our Team

We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operations. This position serves as a subject matter expert in payroll processes, compliance, reporting, and system improvements while supporting both employees and business leaders.

The ideal candidate brings extensive multi-state payroll experience, strong analytical skills, and a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Position Summary

The Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for performing and maintaining a variety of payroll functions, including payroll compliance, payroll audits, garnishments, wage attachments, reporting, and payroll process improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with leadership, employees, and technology teams to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing & Compliance
  • Audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with FLSA and applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Review and resolve payroll and timekeeping exceptions.
  • Ensure timely and compliant weekly payroll processing.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll and management reports.
  • Process ACH transactions and off-cycle payrolls as needed.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity.
Payroll Operations & Problem Resolution
  • Research, track, and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee concerns.
  • Meet established service level agreements (SLAs) for issue resolution.
  • Administer garnishments, wage attachments, and withholding orders in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Process W-2C corrections and manage quarterly payroll adjustments and reconciliations.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding payroll questions and concerns.
  • Partner with business leaders and IT teams to identify process improvements and technology enhancements.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to team members.
  • Foster positive working relationships across departments.
Process Improvement & Special Projects
  • Act as a payroll subject matter expert for system implementations and technology initiatives.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts and operational enhancements.
  • Maintain a secure, organized, and compliant work environment.
  • Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned.
  • Continue professional development through payroll and accounting education opportunities.
Qualifications Education & Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College coursework or degree preferred.
  • Payroll certification or related coursework strongly preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of recent payroll experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent multi-state payroll experience.
  • Experience administering garnishments and wage withholding orders.
  • Experience with payroll corrections, W-2C processing, and payroll reconciliations.
  • Experience with ADP strongly preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles related to payroll processing.
  • Experience working with automated payroll systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies.

  • Payroll records, reports, and reconciliations are maintained accurately.
  • Employee payroll questions and concerns are resolved promptly and professionally.
