Main Duties & Responsibilities
Summary/Objective
The Assembly
Traub Operator Labor Grade 9, must be able to run and or set-up a minimum of
three Traubs at 463 pieces per hour. They must be able to complete a set-up a Traub in fifteen minutes max. This includes total change over if
needed. The definition of a set-up is
when an operator is first setting up a Traub for production run. The Traub needs to have all rails, feeding
systems, and bowl adjusted for production run. This means that the set-up is complete. All other movements are considered adjustments. This means that the Traub operator is free to
run other machines as required by the employee's leader, and or
Management. A Traub operator must be
able to use a comparator and torque tester. This position requires that the operator input measurements into the SPC
system, and that they fill out a production log either electronically or
manually on paper. The Operator must be
mechanically inclined and efficient at what they do. The Traub position requires good
communication skills in English, excellent workmanship and teamwork.
Essential Functions
- Sets-up and operates all machines as required by management.
- Machines work pieces in accordance with customer and company specifications.
- Makes data driven adjustments to work piece so that the component meets all required specifications.
- Records all pertinent information specific to the job they are working on clearly and legibly in the appropriate area and on appropriate documents.
- Must run three machines while making adjustments to other Traubs and while working with a Qualifier if needed.
- Must be able to complete a Set-up in 15 minutes max.
- Must be able to take direction from the Qualifier they are working with, when needed, and communicate verbally and in writing in English.
- Must take direction from their leader and Management.
- Must always use and understand the three pan system to insure that a no groove condition never happens.
- Must be able to run three machines at 463 pieces per hour minimum.
- Must be able to use comparator and Torque tester and hold a tolerance of plus/minus .001, and plus/minus 1 pound.
- Must be able to trouble shoot and make minor repairs to the Traub.

The assembly Traub Operator position is a key and
integral part of the manufacturing process. It requires a self-driven individual with exceptional knowledge of the
components, and how they work. Operators
will use various tools including measuring tools to perform their day to day
functions. At times the Operator may be
required to lift up to thirty-five (35) pounds. They will be working in a fast paced manufacturing environment that is
loud. Depending on the season, the
factory could be very hot and or very cold. They are required to use proper personal protective equipment at all
times when inside the factory. The Traub
Operator must be able to fill in documentation correctly and accurately. They must be able to read blue prints. Operators will need to be able to distinguish
a conforming part from a non-conforming part. The employee must possess a high level of integrity and must understand
that they are manufacturing critical components for the Aerospace
industry. Therefore, all company rules and
regulation as determined by Management are always to be followed and observed
without exception. All direction given
by leaders and by Management are to be followed without exception.
Qualifications
Education
Must have minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience preferably on a bowl fed automated lathe, Brown and Sharp, Davenport or Acme. Must be able to set-up and operate all stated equipment or the equivalent there of. Must be able to communicate in English verbally and in writing. Must be able to use all required measuring tools listed and not listed.
Compensation
In
compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the
expected pay range for this position is $29.52 - $35.88 Position is for 3rd shift LG 9.
Compensation
can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications,
skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may
qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable
