About the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Hiring Event:

We are seeking qualified candidates to attend our Hiring Event on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. We will be interviewing for multiple departments, including Medical Cardiac, Orthopedics, Women's Center, Radiology, Cath Lab, ER, ICU, PCU, and Float Pool. Food and drinks will be provided!

Experienced RN's (2+ years of experience) , New Grad RN's and Student Nurses interviews will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

CNA and Tech interviews will be held from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Qualifications

Experienced RN & New Grad RN

General Responsibilities

  • Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.

  • Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.

  • The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.

  • Delegates appropriate tasks to appropriate members of the patient care team.

  • Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High school education or equivalent.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. Exceptions subject to management discretion.

  • Experience: Prefer one year full-time or three years part- time experience in acute care setting.

  • Licensure: Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License.

  • Certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.

  • Computer: Basic computer skills

  • Other: Additional certifications required at start date or intrafacility transfer (unless otherwise stated):

* All Nursing Units/Depts (except Newborn Nursery) - ACLS (New graduate RNs within 90 days of start date or completion of orientation, whichever comes first)
* ICU/PCU - NIH (New graduate RN's within 90 days of start date or prior to completion of orientation, whichever comes first)
* ER- NIH, PALS and Crisis Intervention/De-escalation training within 90 days or prior to completion of orientation, whichever comes first
* FED - NIH, PALS and Crisis Intervention/De-escalation training within 90 days or prior to completion of orientation, whichever comes first. TNCC and NRP upon hire or within 6 months of hire

Student Nurse (Student Nurse Apprentice Program SNAP)

General Responsibilities

  • Utilizing the concepts and foundation of Patient Centered Care, assists the unit with providing safe, competent basic nursing care for patients in accordance with approved, demonstrated competencies and facility policies/procedures/unit standards under the direction of an RN.

  • Provides support to the healthcare team.

  • Always demonstrates Service Excellence standards.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:

      • Completed the first semester/quarter at an accredited Nursing school (ASN or BSN program).

      • Concurrent enrollment in a RN Nursing program or a graduate waiting initial NCLEX.

  • Experience: Prior CNA experience preferred. Proven work history of excellent customer service skills required.

  • Licensure: None.

  • Certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.

  • Computer: Basic computer skills.

  • Other:

      • Recommendation from a School of Nursing Instructor.

      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)

General Responsibilities

  • Assumes responsibility for facilitating and enhancing the delivery of patient care and the patient experience under the direction of the RN.
  • Duties include patient care, activities of daily living, and general support duties as assigned to include but not limited to clerical, stocking, courier, and transport.
  • Always demonstrates Service Excellence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High school education or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience as Unit Secretary/ Nursing Assistant, Medic or EMT/Paramedic, preferred.

  • Licensure/Certifications:
    • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.
    • CNA Certification required.
    • For Emergency Room, CPI required within 6 months.
  • Other: Demonstrated track record for excellent communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.

Surgical Techs

Operating Room:

Surgical Techs (Certified)

    • Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent.
    • Experience: 1-year surgical technologist preferred

    • Licensure/Certifications:
      • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.
      • Surgical Technologist Certification required.

Surgical Techs (Non-certified)

    • Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent.
    • Experience: 1-year surgical technologist preferred

    • Licensure/Certifications:
      • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.
      • Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.

OBGYN:

Surgical Techs (Certified)

    • Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent. Successful completion of surgical technologist course from an accredited program.
    • Experience: Prior obstetrical surgical technologist preferred.

    • Licensure/Certifications:
      • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.
      • Surgical Technologist Certification required.

Surgical Techs (Non-certified)

    • Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent. Successful completion of surgical technologist course from an accredited program.
    • Experience: Prior obstetrical surgical technologist preferred.

    • Licensure/Certifications:
      • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.
      • Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.

Monitor Techs

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Telemetry experience preferred.
  • Licensure: N/A
  • Certification: BLS required upon hire.
  • Telemetry certification preferred.

Multi Modality Techs (Radiology/Cath Lab)

  • Education: Satisfactory completion of formal training in an AMA approved school with at least 2 years of experience required.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience required.

    • Advanced Imaging Experience (CT, MRI, CI, VIR) Preferred.

  • Licensure/Certifications: Current and active Florida State Licensure as listed below.

Radiology

* CRT & ARRT (R) required.

* ARRT (R)(CT) preferred.

Interventional (IR)

* CRT, ARRT (R) required,

* ACLS (90 days of start date or at the director's discretion).

* ARRT (VIR), (CV), (CI), (RCIS) preferred.

Cat Scan (CT)

* CRT, ARRT (R) required.

* ARRT (CT) preferred.

Nuclear (NM)

* CRT& NMTCB required.

* ARRT (CT) preferred.

MRI

* CRT & ARRT (R) required.

* ARRT (R)(MR) preferred.

* ARMRIT accepted.

Ultrasound

* ARDMS (RVT) required.

* CRT & ARRT (R) preferred

Cath Lab

* CRT & ARRT (R) or equivalent required

* (CI) or (RCIS) preferred

* ACLS (90 days of start date or at the director's discretion).

Electrophysiology EP
