Security Officer - Financial Building Access Control

As a Security Officer - Financial Building Access Control in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a premier financial institution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support a professional, welcoming environment. This role combines visible presence, attentive observation, and strong communication to help address security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, manage visitor processing, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, lobby areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate access logs, support badge and key control processes, and follow established protocols for deliveries, escorts, and after-hours entry requests.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
