The University of Virginia is seeking an Assistant Administrator to support the School of Medicine's Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. This position provides day-to-day operational and strategic support to the Department Administrator and oversees key departmental functions including medical education/residency program, promotions and tenure, clinical privileging and credentialing, recruitment coordination, and faculty communications. The role also supports initiatives at the direction of the Department Administrator, including institutional reporting across all missions, financial analysis, and other activities supporting the department's research, education, and clinical programs. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree Experience: Four years of increasingly responsible management and administrative responsibility is required. Two years of supervisory experience is required. Relevant exempt level experience may substitute for a degree. Physical Demands This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. Hiring Range: $80,000 - $85,000, commensurate with education and experience. Position Type & Work Location
