Role overview

A boutique financial planning firm is seeking a high-ownership content operator to build and scale its social video presence. This person will act as the captain of the content ship: planning, directing, scripting, producing, and publishing engaging content that grows audience reach and supports advisor appointment generation.

Primary objective

Create a repeatable content engine that turns subject-matter expertise into high-performing short-form and long-form video content across social channels.

Key responsibilities:



  • Own day-to-day social/video content direction and production.
  • Build content plans based on trends, performance data, and business priorities.
  • Write or refine scripts for on-camera talent.
  • Direct recording sessions and keep talent on message, efficient, and engaging.
  • Manage publishing workflow across channels.
  • Review performance metrics and continuously improve content strategy.
  • Recommend additional resources as needed, such as editors, clippers, or cameras.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align content with business goals and fiduciary brand standards.
  • Push for measurable growth in views, engagement, and appointment generation.

  • Experience producing content for social/video channels.

  • Alignment with a fiduciary, client-first brand.
  • Ability to translate strategy into execution.
  • Comfortable using AI as a tool, while still applying expert judgment.
  • Able to deliver measurable improvement within 3-6 months.
  • Strong communication and collaboration with senior leadership.


Nice-to-have:



  • Background at a major financial media or education channel.
  • Experience with a large audience or high-volume content operation.
  • Hands-on editing, clipping, or publishing experience.
  • Familiarity with studio setups, teleprompters, and multi-camera workflows.
  • Arizona-based or willing to work in a hybrid/in-person model.
  • Experience with equity-based or startup-style growth environments.
  • Experience scaling from small team to broader production support.
  • Portfolio showing strong storytelling, engagement growth, or audience-building wins.


The target hiring compensation for this role is $75k-$100k base salary + bonus + equity. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
