Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide technical support for the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate at Lackland AFB. This is a full-time position.



Responsibilities

    Provide support and assistance in the management and operations of program related network systems.
  • Provide system administration of network, web, and/or communication systems, including Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems, involving network security.
  • Prepare technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions including actions, milestones, timelines and critical paths required for complete solutions.
  • Perform the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, client/server, or cloud based.
  • Optimize system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Assist users in accessing and using business systems.
  • Support and maintain existing AF systems for mission critical applications across a variety of software and hardware platforms in use by the different groups.
  • Plan, design, develop, and deploy new systems as directed by leadership within the available AF toolset.
  • Provide information and procedures to users within the directorate to ensure consistent access and secure operations.
  • Support access control for SharePoint groups as needed and support group administrators to maintain their SharePoint data effectively and securely.


Qualifications

12+ years experience in systems administration including at least 5 years in a DoD environment. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements. Must have experience in technologies including, but not limited to: MS SharePoint, MS Project Server, ASP/.NET/SQL Server legacy systems, JavaScript and related web technologies, and Oracle. Experience with DoD systems. Significant MS Server operating systems and VMWare support experience is required. Experience providing application support for COTS and proprietary applications. Experience supporting both the client and server-side for enterprise systems. Must have experience with hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting. Must be customer service oriented and able to demonstrate strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI Access (TS/SCI).
