Overview Abacus Technology is seeking a Wireless Network Engineer to provide technical support for the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) at Randolph AFB. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities
Review vendor project deliverables: site surveys, as-builts, topologies, IP workbooks, etc.
Qualifications + years experience in network engineering or administration. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Must hold one of the following certifications: CISSP, SecurityX (formerly CASP+ CE), CSSLP, or CCNP-Security. Proficient with both wired and wireless network design principles. Familiar with the latest emerging telecommunications and networking technologies. Experience conducting requirements analysis and design. Experience conducting network planning and engineering and design activities. Experience reviewing and evaluating network design solutions. Experience providing engineering expertise for entire project cycle including requirements, design, equipment selection, implementation, acceptance, and lifecycle cost development. Experience conducting surveys to gather data, prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, and other visual aids. Must have strong communications skills and be detail-oriented and self-motivated. Demonstrated strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Able to effectively prioritize multiple projects and demonstrate professional customer service skills. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
