Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support people with professionalism and care. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed post at the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, while communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, common areas, and authorized movement within the location to help support order, document notable activity, and/or address questions or concerns from occupants.
• Prepare clear, timely reports on incidents, patrol activity, and security-related concerns, and help to follow site protocols for de-escalation, emergency notifications, and/or post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Must pass a physical fitness exam (1 mile run, push ups and sit ups).
• Must have at least 3 years of either military, law enforcement, corrections or armed security experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
