Our client, an industry-leading, PA-based general contractor specializing in commercial construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The Project Manager is responsible for overall project performance, including budget, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction. This role serves as a primary point of contact for owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors while collaborating closely with internal project teams to successfully deliver projects.

Key Responsibilities


  • Manage all phases of commercial construction projects, including preconstruction, estimating support, procurement, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, change orders, and monthly financial reporting.
  • Oversee project schedules, ensuring milestones are achieved while proactively identifying and mitigating schedule or budget risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
  • Coordinate subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.
  • Lead project meetings, including owner meetings, OAC meetings, and internal coordination sessions.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Identify project risks and develop practical solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Support business development efforts through client relationship management, proposal support, and participation in project interviews as needed.


Qualifications


  • 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, including ground-up and/or tenant improvement projects.
  • Working knowledge of construction contracts, including lump sum, GMP, and design-build delivery methods.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Procore and Primavera P6 (or similar platforms).
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and change order management.
  • Excellent communication, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
