Description

We have an exciting opportunity for our next Wisconsin Market Leader with a demonstrated background in business development, client relations, and delivery of municipal water, wastewater and stormwater engineering projects, and a history of successfully leading professionals, to join our team. This position will be based in our Milwaukee, WI office and will serve as a key leadership team member in continuing to grow our business in the Midwest. In this capacity, you will have responsibilities that include overseeing the administration of employees, sales, client development, client relationship management, professional engineering services proposal writing and contract scope, schedule and price preparation, and client service team leadership.

The person in this position will work closely with the Midwest Area Leader, and other team members to help lead the development and execution of the local business plan and lead sales and business operations for the office(s). Responsibilities include client portfolio management, initiative management, project delivery oversight, and/or total labor management within the Business. You will demonstrate the ability to lead BC employees and work collaboratively with other leaders in the best interest of our Company. You will also foster the BC Experience for all employees in the office, and for the clients and business partners in the markets in which you engage, by modeling behavior that reflects BC values.

The Market Leader role focuses on developing and strengthening client relationships that position BC as a trusted and increasingly preferred partner. The role operates with integrity, collaboration, and initiative, supporting innovation and coordinated efforts across teams. This position contributes to market planning activities, helps identify and advance emerging opportunities, and plays an active role in pursuit efforts using BC's Plan to Win strategy. The role contributes to revenue growth, client development, and alignment with business objectives through increased ownership of market and client activities. Sound judgment, growing financial accountability, and cross-functional coordination are applied to support successful project delivery and positive client experiences throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities



  • Build and strengthen client relationships to reinforce BC as a company of choice.
  • Demonstrate passion, collaboration, and optimism by promoting continuous improvement, innovation, ethical decision making, and high-quality results.
  • Contribute to development and implementation of market sector business or action plans by helping identify market drivers, trends, and client needs. Actively support opportunity identification, proposal development, and business development efforts with new and existing clients.
  • Participate in driving activities that support achievement of market sales goals.
  • Support identification and development of key clients by working with CSMs to advance relationships, convert opportunities into revenue using BC's Plan To Win capture strategy, and encourage technical practice diversification.
  • Provide input and recommendations for new client Go-No Go (GNG) decisions based on financial stability and market sector strategy.
  • Participate in pursuit GNG discussions and support select pursuits through client relationship develop-ment and participation in pursuit strategy and activities.
  • Develop and expand client relationships that contribute to repeat business across the project lifecycle and BC service offerings.
  • Support development and delivery of the market or area business plan by collaborating with Area, Growth, Project Delivery, and BU leadership in support of planned and forecasted goals.
  • Participate in strategic business planning processes and contribute to development of annual budgeting inputs.
  • Collaborate across enterprise groups to align appropriate resources to support client projects and pur-suits.
  • Network with other market leaders across BC to promote alignment, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.
  • Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.


Skills and Competencies



  • Working to advanced knowledge of business and financial principles with growing responsibility for profit and loss concepts.
  • Developing to strong financial acumen, including participation in budgeting and resource allocation.

Experience



  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in increasing responsibility roles including operational management of a division or similar Profit and Loss center leadership experience.
  • Experience in environmental consulting, engineering, construction and operations industry.
  • Experience growing services within established market areas.
  • Experienced in annual business planning, strategy development, and implementation.
  • Experience managing a large portfolio with a substantial impact on the business.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Experience within the Water / Wastewater Industry is strongly preferred.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business or Construction Management, Science, or equivalent experience required.


Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $117,000 - $159,000
Location B: $128,000 - $175,000
Location C: $140,000 - $191,000
