Overview We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide technical support to end users in a fast-paced business environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and account-related issues while delivering excellent customer service through phone, remote, and in-person support channels.
Key Responsibilities * Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and enterprise applications * Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows operating systems and supported software applications * Support users through multiple channels, including phone, remote support tools, and in-person desk-side assistance * Administer user accounts, password resets, and access requests within Active Directory * Configure, deploy, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware for end users * Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and printing issues * Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate teams when necessary * Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions in the ticketing system * Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including device setup and account provisioning * Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional communication and timely issue resolution Required Qualifications * 4+ years of technical support or help desk experience * Strong experience supporting Windows operating systems * Hands-on experience with Active Directory administration, including user account management and password resets * Experience providing support via phone, remote tools, and in-person interactions * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Excellent customer service and communication abilities Preferred Qualifications * Experience supporting macOS environments * Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management processes * Experience with hardware deployments, imaging, and device provisioning Key Competencies * Customer-focused mindset * Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, NY. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
