Job Purpose
Design and support electric distribution projects and related activities in response to customer requests, service inquiries, escalations, and system requirements. Apply company standards and technical principles to the development, modification, and support of overhead and underground facilities, distribution system maintenance and improvement initiatives, public infrastructure coordination, programmatic work, and other related Distribution Design activities. Qualifications
1. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline from an accredited institution. 2. Must have passed Aptitude test and Department entry test. 3. Designer B employees who meet all job requirements and demonstrate two years of satisfactory performance will be eligible for promotion to Designer A 4. Ability to follow established standards and procedures. 5. Effective verbal and written communication skills 6. Ability to plan, schedule & coordinate multiple ongoing tasks. 7. Ability to adjust to changing priorities and respond to requests in a timely manner. 8. Ability to utilize technology to gather and transmit field data. 9. Must have and retain a valid motor vehicle operator's license which does not restrict hours of operation. 10. Must be able to perform activities where it is expected that 25 pounds could be lifted, pushed, pulled or carried many times throughout the day. 11. Must be able to work within confined areas at times and in inclement weather and temperature extremes. More Information Hourly Pay Rate - $47.01 Location - Worcester Many of the terms and conditions of employment for this position are defined by a collective bargaining agreement that the Company has with a local union.
