| Essential Job Duties |
This Business Services Coordinator position will serve as a critical part of the
CALS College Advancement (CA) business services team. The position will report to the
CALS Assistant Director of Business Operations.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as a subject matter resource for CALS departments, NC State Extension, programs, units, and constituents regarding NC Agricultural Foundation funds by providing guidance, interpreting applicable policies and procedures, resolving complex financial inquiries, and ensuring the accurate management, compliance, and auditing of financial resources housed within the Foundation.
- Independently process and reconcile gift and other income deposits, ensuring accuracy, compliance with Foundation and university policies, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Independently process accounts payable and other financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance with university and Foundation policies, and appropriate handling of complex or non-routine items.
- Support the management and monitoring of financial resources for CALS Advancement, analyzing fund activity, ensuring appropriate use of funds, and aligning expenditures with donor intent and institutional guidelines.

| Other Responsibilities |
- General office duties such as answering phones, sorting and distributing mail, copying, etc. as needed.
- Provide support for various College Advancement events.
- Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs of the organization and evolving priorities.

Qualifications
| Minimum Experience/Education |
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
|
| Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience in a university setting, non-profit, or fundraising/advancement office.
- Accounting experience and knowledge of accounting policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of a donor database, University and Federal Guidelines and financial systems.
- Knowledge of principles, practices, and ethics of fundraising.
- An understanding of the land grant, research Tier One university environment.
