HJF is seeking a Project Manager III to lead execution of resident research initiatives supporting the Tri-Service Dental Research Program (TSDRP). This role partners closely with the USU Postgraduate Dental College Associate Dean for Dental Research (ADDR), TSDRP Program Manager, and Senior military Dental Academic Leadership (Service Deans) to ensure successful implementation and delivery of dental resident research projects across all participating sites.

This position will support the Tri-Service Dental Research Program (TSDRP), which aligns strategic academic, research, and operational missions to mitigate knowledge and capability gaps affecting oral health and readiness of warfighters, while also addressing civilian dental care challenges.

This position will be in support of the Tri-Service Dental Research Program, located in San Antonio, Texas on Joint Base Fort Sam Houston.

  • Lead execution of TSDRP resident research award activities in collaboration with the Associate Dean for Dental Research (ADDR).
  • Manage end-to-end implementation of dental resident research projects across multiple clinical research sites.
  • Oversee protocol development, standardization, and execution activities to ensure consistency and quality across all study sites.
  • Coordinate Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and regulatory documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and support protocol execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, study requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate the identification of needed resources in support of dissemination/publication of resident research.
  • Mentor and guide research staff and resident investigators in research processes and best practices.
  • Track project outcomes, perform data validation, and reconcile data discrepancies across residency sites.
  • Serve as a liaison among residents, principal investigators, site teams, and TSDRP leadership.
  • Provide HJF administrative and project support for the TSDRP collaboration, including coordination with PM-IV, ADDR, and Executive Dean.
  • Support planning and execution of HJF-hosted meetings, workshops, and resident research day activities.
  • Develop status reports, presentations, and updates for leadership regarding research progress and outcomes.
  • Ensure alignment of research activities with program goals, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred (Life Sciences, Dentistry, Public Health, or related field).
  • Minimum of 6-8 years' experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of clinical research design and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated understanding of clinical research operations, protocol management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate activities to meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of a variety of software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, proposal/project tracking, and data analysis software.
  • Prior experiences in the life sciences strongly preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a T1 Public Trust background check.

Physical Capabilities

  • Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.

Work Environment

  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting.

Compensation

  • The annual salary range for this position is $77,600-$115,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
