Description

The Facilities Supervisor coordinates and performs maintenance activities for buildings, grounds, company vehicles, and facility equipment to support safe, clean, and reliable operations. This is a hands-on role responsible for day-to-day facility upkeep, basic work direction, vendor coordination, and timely completion of repairs and preventive maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Provide leadership to maintenance staff, including training, performance feedback, workload direction, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide day-to-day work direction to maintenance staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring completion, and ensuring compliance with company policies, security and safety requirements.
  • Prioritize, schedule, and complete preventive and corrective maintenance activities to support safe and reliable facility operations.
  • Perform and, when needed, coordinate general facility repairs including basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and minor HVAC or mechanical work.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and related records for building systems, facility infrastructure, and support equipment.
  • Coordinate external service providers such as lawn and grounds maintenance, janitorial services, HVAC contractors, fire protection vendors, security vendors, and other facility service providers to ensure work is completed as requested.
  • Monitor facility conditions and identify repair needs, facility security issues, safety concerns, or maintenance issues, then take corrective action or elevate larger issues to management.
  • Support required inspections and coordinate with local inspectors, fire authorities, and other agencies as directed to help maintain compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs for company vehicles and mobile equipment and help maintain related service records.
  • Administer day-to-day facility access and badging activities in coordination with HR, management, and service providers.
  • Support EHS efforts by helping maintain first aid kits, eye wash stations, emergency equipment, and other required safety items and inspections.
  • Track maintenance related purchases and service expenses and report larger repair or replacement needs to management. Track and report service contract compliance and issues.
  • Assist with facility repairs, small improvement projects, space changes, and other operational support activities as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Technical training in maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of facility or maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior lead or supervisory experience required.
  • Experience coordinating vendors and service providers.
  • Basic proficiency with maintenance tracking systems, ERP systems, or MS Office.
  • Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift and or move up to 50 pounds and work in manufacturing, warehouse, and outdoor environments.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES



  • Ability to provide clear day-to-day direction and follow up on assigned work.
  • Good organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of general building systems, facility maintenance practices, and grounds care.
  • Ability to complete basic recordkeeping and interpret equipment information, manuals, and work instructions.
  • Effective communication skills with employees, vendors, and service providers.
  • Commitment to safety, housekeeping, and reliable follow through.
