Procurement Job Description
* Process a high volume of lower dollar requisitions and contracts for a variety of commodities as assigned, supporting the Universities and UM System, and in accordance with governing regulations and University policy. Coordinate with Legal on review of contracts and variances outside standard contractual language. Coordinate with other areas for appropriate approvals required. Shift
Negotiable, but typically 7:00am-4:00pm, 7:30am-4:30pm, or 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday Minimum Qualifications
An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience; ability to multi-task; attention to details; organized; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with end users and suppliers; demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
