The Physician is responsible for providing quality medical care to Inova Health System patients and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. This role will also be responsible for conducting comprehensive medical exams, making diagnoses, developing treatment plans, and providing education and guidance to patients on disease prevention and management.

Inova- Go Health Urgent Care is seeking dedicated Physician to join our team. Positions available for one of our 23 various facilities and shifts including PRN/Part Time/Full-Time opportunities. You can be considered for any position in the following counties/service areas in Northern Virginia:

  • Fairfax County
  • Loudoun County
  • Prince William County
  • Alexandria City, Fairfax City, Falls Church City, Manassas City & Manassas Park City

Job Responsibilities

  • Completes initial assessments and evaluations of new patients and provides ongoing monitoring of patients' medical conditions while providing treatment.
  • Orders prescription medications and diagnostic procedures while authorizing and coordinating all specialty and ancillary services.
  • Participates in the development of such programs as preventive health screenings, immunization programs, professional community outreach, quality assurance and others.
  • Participates in a wide range of clinical research projects and studies.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary team activities such as case conferences.
  • Provides in-service staff development and clinical teachings to trainees rotating through medical practice.
  • Maintains a consultative relationship with nurses, social workers, staff clinic nurses and rehabilitation staff.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution. Board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine.
  • Experience: successful completion of Family Medicine residency program.
  • Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
  • Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
  • Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services
