Overview

Join our IT team as a Manager, IT Asset Management, leading enterprise-wide IT asset operations in a fast-paced, service-focused environment. This role oversees inventory accuracy, asset lifecycle governance, and coordination with our Managed Service Provider (MSP) and business stakeholders to ensure compliance, accountability, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, analytical, communication, and project management skills, with a focus on process improvement, data-driven decision-making, and maintaining effective asset management practices across the technology lifecycle.

This position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a STEM OPT Training Plan.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead enterprise-wide IT asset management operations across all regions of Con Edison, ensuring standardized processes and consistent service delivery
  • Manage the XM10 budget, including forecasting, tracking expenditures, validating invoices, and identifying cost optimization opportunities related to IT assets and services
  • Oversee the full lifecycle management of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, inventory tracking, transfers, refresh, recovery, and secure disposal
  • Partner with the Managed Service Provider (MSP) to monitor operational performance, enforce service level agreements, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
  • Implement AI-driven solutions and automation capabilities to enhance IT asset management operations
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory records and ensure data integrity across all asset management systems and reporting platforms
  • Develop, implement, and maintain IT asset management policies, standards, procedures, and governance controls aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with regional business units, IT teams, and operational stakeholders to support asset needs, improve service delivery, and resolve escalations
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, cost control, and customer experience
  • Support technology refresh initiatives and coordinate hardware deployment activities to ensure timely delivery and minimal business disruption
  • Develop and deliver operational reports, dashboards, and executive-level summaries related to asset inventory, financial performance, and lifecycle activities
  • Lead and supervise team members within the IT Asset Management function, including performance management, coaching, and development, while driving a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence
  • Coordinate with procurement, finance, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to align asset management activities with enterprise objectives and compliance standards
  • Lead issue resolution efforts related to asset discrepancies, lost or missing equipment, vendor performance concerns, and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Performs additional duties as required, including providing support during emergency response situations

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Master's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of full-time relevant work experience or
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 3 years of full-time relevant work experience or
  • Associate's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of full-time relevant work experience or
  • High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 7 years of full-time relevant work experience
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information System, Engineering, Business/Finance or related field and a minimum of 3 years of full-time relevant work experience with experience working in Information Technology, customer, desktop, or presentation support environment
Relevant Work Experience
  • Technical and supervisory or managerial experience with a proven ability to motivate people, required
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically while maintaining a hands-on, detail-oriented approach, required
  • Collaborative, curious and innovative mindset, required
  • Experience in ServiceNow reporting and Performance Analytics configuration, preferred
  • Experience in managing projects, representing the organization in building and fostering relationships with customers, support groups, and vendors, and render sound business decisions, preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, preferred
  • Understanding of MSP operations, IT Asset Management, and end user service environments, preferred

Additional Physical Demands
  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
