What to Expect
Tesla is looking for a highly motivated CT Engineer to perform routine
quality testing and support failure analysis processes for our cutting-edge
Tesla battery cell manufacturing program. In this role you would work closely
with quality engineering teams and drive critical CT focused projects under the
guidance of Quality Operations management to perform image analysis with the
highest standards of safety, quality, and output. The work environment is
demanding, fast-paced, and incredibly exciting. The ideal candidate should be
ready to push their limits, as they join a highly motivated and capable team.
What You'll Do
- Work with a team of engineers and
technicians performing routine CT image analysis in a 24x7 cell manufacturing quality laboratory - Manage high value assets within the CT laboratories
including forecasting needs for spare parts of CT tools, tracking of vendor scope-of-work status, and overseeing preventative maintenance and service - Interpret image data in a high-volume manufacturing
environment - Provide input for the continued
improvement to test procedures - Work closely with ML model development
teams on technical projects - Maintain CT tool calibration standards and
monitor for specification parameter drift - Support the company's mission, vision,
values, and goals in performance of daily activities
What You'll Bring
- 2+ years of experience working in a
quality or engineering support environment - Previous experience with the operation of
industrial radiographic equipment and interpretation of multi-planar imaging - Detail oriented, excels at performing
repetitive tasks where both high degrees of accuracy and precision are required - Able to work both independently and in a
collaborative project-focused environment, prompt and dependable, and excellent verbal and written communication skills - Comfortable working with hazardous
materials in a laboratory environment - Be both capable and willing to perform all
the various manual tasks involved with lab work, such as safely moving heavy objects, moving large pallets with a pallet jack, handling incoming materials, etc. - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft
Word, PowerPoint, and Excel - Demonstrated expertise in physical
materials analysis and associated quality controls - Experience of measurement system analysis,
gage calibration, and instrument maintenance - Prior experience with battery manufacturing and testing associated cells and raw materials is a plus
