Job title: Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 months

Location: Westbrook, ME 04092

Pay rate: $53.57 - $55.95 hourly on W2

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for their assigned agreements/initiatives within the IT Organization, including the associated suppliers, internal stakeholders, and the sourcing strategy.
• Person will drive sourcing initiatives, negotiations, and strategies, which have a significant financial impact for specific functional/operational areas or specific spend categories.
• In addition, you will deliver value-added category management activities which include client stakeholder management, contract management, supplier performance / risk management, supply market monitoring, continuous improvement, ongoing cost reductions, supplier review, and issue resolution.

• Strategic sourcing experience with the ability to manage complex projects, communication, strong negotiation skills, and ability to manage supplier value and drive continuous improvement required.
• Responsibilities Work closely with internal IT stakeholders to help drive new cost reduction initiatives.
• Lead the development of strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate price, terms, and quality requirements with suppliers for initiatives of ranging value, including high-value, technically complex products and services (IT Hardware, Software, Telecommunications, and IT Consulting & Services).
• Support global IT organization in implementing best practices in all phases of contracting processes for IT products and services.
• Work with all levels of the IT organization to transform business requirements for IT products and services into actionable scope of works/specifications.

Must haves/Desirables:

• Have demonstrated knowledge and experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing and / or Category Management associated with Information Technology (IT).
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience in Indirect Procurement supporting technology projects is desired.
• CPSM, APICS or other supply chain management certification is a plus.
• Training and/or experience with LEAN and Six Sigma practices.
• 5 years' experience

Additional Note:

Key Focus: Supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing.

Experience:

• Strong individual contributors, self-directed, ability to negotiate with the focus on technology procurement (especially with contract renewals).
• Ideal candidates will be expected to review contracts and highlight concerns and closely communicate and collaborate with IT stakeholders and others in Procurement organization.
• Experience working with legal partners would be a plus!

Technology knowledge:

• MS Office Suite
• Background in staffing/MSP would not work.
• Needs understanding of software contracts.
