Overview

What You Will Do

As the Corporate EHS Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for upholding our award-winning safety protocols across the corporate office, remote offices, and project sites. Your primary location will be the corporate office, with travel required as necessary. You will report to the Corporate EHS Assistant Manager and collaborate closely with the Site Operations teams, ensuring accountability to the EHS Leadership Team.

A Typical Day at Prime Controls

    Adhere to and maintain existing training plans established by EHS Leadership, departments, and projects.
  • Select approved training methods or activities when applicable, including simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, orientation, and professional development classes.
  • Apply OSHA principles and stay current with regulations.
  • Solicit and gather feedback from assigned regions, projects, offices, and safety team in the field.
  • Collaborate with designated sites and safety team on project kickoff, job site requirements, auditing, training, incidents, tracking, inventory, PPE requirements, and vendors.

What You Will Bring

  • Certifications: One of the following (but not limited to):
    • A two- or four-year accredited degree in an EHS-related field
    • Additional certifications such as 500, 502, 501, CHSO, OHST, SSH, SHEP, and OSHA 30 in construction may be considered
  • Experience: Preferred three to five years of experience in industrial automation, electrical, and safety construction, with consistent work experience in a similar role.
  • Language Skills: Preferred bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (but not required).
  • Technical Skills: Experience with e-learning platforms and competent computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Organizational Skills: Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with clear and concise communication.
  • Background Check: Ability to pass a seven-year background check.
  • Personal Attributes: Exhibit integrity, flexibility, initiative, and adherence to company policies and programs.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively work within all levels or divisions on-site, in meetings, and within Prime Controls.
  • Travel: Travel is an essential function of this position. Regular travel of approximately 3-5 days per month is expected, with the ability to travel up to 10 days per month based on business needs. Travel may include overnight stays and visits to field offices, project sites, customer locations, and other remote work locations.

Work Schedule: The typical work week is 40 hours, Monday through Friday, excluding travel.

Work Environment & Physical Demands (Text Only)

Physical requirements and work environment expectations vary by position.
