Serve as a Staff Veterinarian to provide consistent and quality veterinary care for food animals through the Livestock Medicine and Surgery Service of the William R. Pritchard Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH). Provide care for cattle, sheep, goats and pigs. Provide clinical teaching for veterinary students and residents through the clinics and involvement in lecture and laboratory teaching exercises and other educational activities associated with the professional DVM curriculum, or outreach to producers and veterinarians.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- Current CA veterinary license, and in good standing with the CA Veterinary Medical Board.
- Board certification or residency-trained in large animal internal medicine, with a livestock emphasis.
- DVM or equivalent degree.
- Clinical experience and competence in livestock medicine and surgery.
- Experience in teaching (particularly clinical instruction), providing oversight of professional students, residents and technicians in all aspects of livestock medicine and surgery.
- Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Skills to work with others in a collegial team atmosphere.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the structure and function of the VMTH Livestock Services
- Experience with UC/VMTH data systems such as, but not limited to, VMACS, AGFA, and VIPER.
