Job Summary
Under the direction of the Faculty Director of the UC Davis Olive Center, this position supports the development and coordination of industry engagement, extension activities, and experiential education programs related to olive production and processing in California. The position assists with stakeholder engagement, educational outreach, product marketing, and implementation of extension and research activities aligned with the Center's mission.
The position also supports implementation of OLEA 360, an immersive educational and workforce development program focused on olive growing, milling, quality evaluation, and product development. Responsibilities include coordinating activities with the Student Farm, local growers, processors, and industry partners; assisting with educational programming and outreach; and supporting program logistics, communication, and industry engagement activities throughout the year. - Bachelor's degree in agriculture, plant sciences, food science, agricultural education, environmental sciences, sustainable agriculture, agricultural business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience/training.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in agricultural extension, grower outreach, program coordination, educational program support, marketing, communications or related field experience.
- Experience working effectively with agricultural producers, students, community stakeholders, or industry partners.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple activities and timelines simultaneously.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with growers, industry partners, students, faculty, and community stakeholders.
- Ability to coordinate outreach, educational, and stakeholder engagement activities with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of basic agricultural production systems, extension programming, or applied educational activities.

- Experience working with olive production, specialty crops, sustainable agriculture, or food and agricultural systems.
- Experience supporting experiential learning, workforce development, or educational outreach programs.
- Experience coordinating field-based activities, workshops, or applied extension programs.
- Experience working in university, nonprofit, agricultural, or research environments.
- Experience with stakeholder communication, partnership development, and program logistics coordination.
- Knowledge of olive production systems, olive oil processing, or specialty crop agriculture.
- Familiarity with extension, outreach, or experiential learning programs within higher education or agricultural settings
- Familiarity with product marketing, promotional campaigns, branding, or product launches.
- Familiarity with student engagement or workforce development programs.
