Job Summary

Loudoun County's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services (PRCS) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior IT Technician. Under the general direction of the Systems Administrator, the Senior IT Technician will serve as the lead support role for end users on automated systems, software, and hardware issues.
We are currently hiring for the following location(s): * PRCS, 742 Miller Drive SE, Leesburg, VA
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Act as primary Security Officer for the department - assigning and removing access to the county network and applications such as Rectrac and Jot Forms. * Install and configure peripheral devices such as printers, credit card readers, cash drawers, and barcode readers. * Manage the ordering and inventory control of desktops, laptops, monitors, tablets, and cell phones for the department. * Provide training for staff on applications and create new training as needed. * Write and update user tip sheets and FAQs for county applications. * Assist with the planning, installation, and upgrades of IT software and IT projects. * May carry out additional critical job responsibilities that are specific to the role and departmental assignment.

Minimum Qualifications
-
Associate degree in Computer Science or related field; four (4) years of related technical experience preferably in a local government setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with a Recreation Management Database, such as Rectrac or a similar database management system, is preferred. SharePoint; Teams; and ServiceNow software experience. Related certification such as Microsoft Certified Office Specialist, Microsoft Certified Desktop Administrator, Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or ITIL.
