The MassGeneral Cancer Institute at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is looking for a compounding pharmacy technician for their busy cancer center. Our cancer center continues to grow and become busier. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone with sterile compounding experience to continue their training to become trained in compounding chemotherapy. No compounding experience? We're willing to train the right certified technician in sterile and chemotherapy compounding.
Summary Under the direction of Pharmacy Leadership, this role is responsible for supporting the pharmacy's operations and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of medications and healthcare products. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions Accurately and efficiently fill prescription orders under the supervision of a pharmacist. Select the correct medications, measure the appropriate quantities, and label prescriptions accurately. Maintain adequate stock levels of medications and supplies, monitor expiration dates, and assist with organizing pharmacy inventory. Receive and interpret prescription orders, ensuring they are complete and accurate. Verify patient information, insurance details, and medication dosages. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
