The Hospital Blank Assistant 2 is responsible for inventory, track arrivals, and reconcile supply needs in the department and in other designated supply locations where assigned. He/she is accountable for reporting supply discrepancies, shipping issues and other material needs to the team leader of his/her group and following through until resolution. The Hospital Blank Assistant 2 is responsible for completing the required documentation and follow-through processing of all paperwork for return of overstock/over shipment as needed. The Hospital Blank Assistant 2 completes replenishment of the supply locations via both manual and automated systems (via Handheld Scanning devices). He/she is responsible for learning and use all automated supply management tools as requested, and equipment tracking systems if needed. The Hospital Blank Assistant 2 serves nursing, patients, all ancillary departments, and Material Services.

The Hospital Blank Assistant 2 also is tasked with the transportation of cribs, beds, and other patient surfaces as designated. In addition, this role may be tasked with rounding the dirty utility rooms to gather used pumps and clean them.

Yes To serve as a floor ambassador for a designated Nursing Unit. This entails scanning and putting away requisite supplies, maintaining and altering PAR Levels to meet clinical demand and any other ad hoc requests the unit may require.

Yes Transporting various forms of clinical equipment and supplies from central supply to the nursing units, clinics, and other sites as needed.
20 Yes Cleaning various forms of patient equipment such as pumps, channels and modules.

Yes Serving as a dispatcher as the front desk. This requires in depth product knowledge, good customer service skills, and a minimal clinical knowledge of the various supply sets used throughout the Medical Center.

Yes Analyze inventory to optimize stocking locations, product turns, vendor locations and procurement schedules.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF.
