The Surgical Technologist assists in the preparation, processing, and maintenance of supplies and equipment, and functions as a member of the surgical team during operative procedures.

UCSF Stanyan Operating Room (OR) consists of 8 surgical suites for inpatient and outpatient surgeries. Services include, but are not limited to: Orthopedics, General, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Pain Service, General Surgery, Vascular, Urology, Podiatry.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR for healthcare providers
  • High School Diploma; or equivalent experience
  • Graduate of surgical technologist training program or equivalent experience
  • This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist

  • Scrub experience in at least one of the following services: Ophthalmology, OHNS, Robotics, Urology,

    Gynecology, OMFS, Plastics

License/Certifications:

  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR for healthcare providers
