Job Description

The Opportunity

The College of Aviation (COA) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide (ERAU-W) is seeking an Assistant Professor of the Practice of Applied Aerospace Science.

A requirement of this position is to teach 9-week cohorts of transitioning military members 18 semester hours of aviation maintenance courses. The position will require conducting face-to-face classes, 8 hours per day at the ERAU WW Oceanside campus, CA, with an approximate a 10-week break between cohorts. As an additional requirement, the successful candidate must remain current in the needs and requirements of the aviation maintenance industry to provide cohort students mentorship that would lead to successful employment.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have an earned Master's Degree and a Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.

  • A background in providing military technical training is desired, but not required.

  • The candidate must also have a strong desire to assist transitioning military members into successful civil aviation maintenance careers.
