The successful candidate will be able demonstrate chemical expertise and experience which has been gained working in a role internally or experience outside of the Komatsu organization. Essential qualifications for this role include possessing product knowledge, strong communication skills, desires to be a team player, and having a positive attitude to problem-solving and will provide strong recommendations to ensure product compliance/ conformity. This role will support all US-design based Technical Centers in Mining, Forestry and the imported Construction products, and will leverage the global regulation experts across the Komatsu company in KEISA (European Union), KLTD (Komatsu Ltd.), and will network and collaborate with experts located across the world. The role holder will provide guidance and recommendations to senior level Komatsu stakeholders and will support the Komatsu organization to ensure product compliance. Strong participation in trade groups and standard setting groups is a critical and non-negotiable aspect of this role. The candidate will work closely with the Association of Manufacturers (AEM) and standards bodies such as ISO (International Standards Organization), SAE (Society of Automative Engineers), and EMA (Engine Manufacturers Association) etc. The role holder will coordinate gathered information between internal and external parties to enable strong and reliable collaboration and to speak as one-voice for the whole of the Komatsu organization. The role holder will work closely with agencies governing the North American region (OSHA, MSHA, Work Safe Alberta, Workman's Compensation Board of British Columbia, and Oregon OSHA).
