HR Generalist (100% Remote) *Location:* Remote (EST Preferred)
*Duration:* 6-Month Contract with Potential Extension *Pay:* $25-$30/hour *Schedule:* Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM ET About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced *HR Generalist* to support a large, globally matrixed organization. This role serves as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing hands-on support across employee relations, compensation processes, organizational changes, performance management, HR operations, and workforce initiatives. Unlike a traditional HR Generalist position, this role is best suited for someone who has supported *corporate, professional, or exempt employee populations* and has exposure to more complex HR functions beyond routine HR administration. What You'll Do * Serve as a primary HR point of contact for managers and employees across assigned business groups. * Provide guidance on employee relations matters, performance management, workplace concerns, corrective action, PIPs, and policy interpretation. * Support annual HR programs including performance reviews, compensation cycles, talent reviews, and employee engagement initiatives. * Assist with employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, promotions, transfers, leave administration, and offboarding. * Partner with leaders to support organizational changes, workforce planning initiatives, restructures, and large-scale reorganizations. * Draft and coordinate employee communications related to HR programs, policy updates, and organizational changes. * Conduct employee relations investigations and maintain accurate documentation. * Collaborate with Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, and HR Operations teams. * Support HR process improvement and transformation initiatives within a fast-paced global environment. Required Experience Corporate HR Background Candidates should come from environments such as: * Professional Services * Financial Services * Technology * Accounting Firms * Corporate Headquarters Environments * Large Matrixed Organizations Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on retail, manufacturing, security, hospitality, or hourly workforce populations may not be the best fit. Must-Have Skills Employee Relations (Highest Priority) * Employee relations case management * Workplace investigations * Manager coaching and consultation * Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) * Corrective actions and employee exits * Conflict resolution and policy interpretation Compensation & Career Frameworks Candidates should have exposure to: * Annual compensation review cycles * Manager compensation support * Merit review processes * Job evaluation and role grading * Career architecture * Job leveling frameworks Organizational Change Management Experience supporting: * Workforce transformations * Organizational restructures * Change management initiatives * Employee communications during change * Organizational design or reorganization efforts Compliance Knowledge * FMLA * FLSA * Leave administration * HR policy interpretation * Employment law fundamentals Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field. * 3-5+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience. * Experience supporting exempt and professional employee populations. * Experience working within enterprise HRIS systems. * HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred. * Exposure to global HR practices and supporting employees or managers across multiple countries. * Ability to independently research policies and apply HR guidance in a global environment. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a corporate HR professional who can quickly step into a high-volume environment and confidently support managers through employee relations matters, compensation processes, organizational changes, and HR transformation initiatives. Experience with professional employee populations, job leveling, compensation planning, employee communications, and large-scale reorganizations will be highly valued. *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Baltimore, MD. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
