Salesforce Developer

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a U.S. Citizen AND the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Public Trust Clearance.

Criterion/HESFP, a Cherokee Federal owned company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Salesforce Developer to design, build, and deliver solutions on the Salesforce platform. You will work across Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and Flow to turn business requirements into scalable, high-quality solutions. This role blends strong coding skills with sharp declarative instincts. Our best developers know Flow inside and out and know exactly when to configure and when to write code. Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Salesforce Developer: $120-150k

Pay commensurate with experience.

Salesforce Developer Responsibilities Include:

  • Design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and other code-based Salesforce technologies.

  • Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and development teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.

  • Use Flow to solve complex requirements, with the ability to bridge out to code when necessary.

  • Develop efficient and scalable code following best practices and industry standards.

  • Build Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages that meet business requirements.

  • Integrate Salesforce with other systems and platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.

  • Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and best practices.

  • Troubleshoot and debug Salesforce applications, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other developers, administrators, and QA testers, to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, and industry trends, and recommend enhancements to development processes and applications.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Salesforce Developer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or II.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of general work experience.

  • Three (3) years of experience developing Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages.

  • Full-stack engineering experience (proficient in database development and integration), including three (3) years deploying Salesforce production enterprise applications.

  • Strong expertise in the Salesforce platform and applications, with a deep understanding of Salesforce development best practices and standards.

  • Proficiency in the Apex programming language and declarative tools such as Flow or OmniStudio.

  • Experience using AWS Connect APIs, the Salesforce CTI adapter, and Omnichannel configuration/API.

  • Familiarity with front-end web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns and technologies, including REST and SOAP APIs.

  • Experience with development projects using DevOps, Salesforce configuration, and/or Apex.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into efficient solutions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • U.S. Citizenship required.

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a Government Public Trust Clearance.

  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Public sector experience, or multiple Salesforce project implementations.

  • Deep Flow expertise, with strong judgment on when to configure and when to write code.

  • Experience with version control systems and continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines such as Harness.io.

  • OmniStudio development experience.
