Join us! 3rd Shift Sanitation Supervisor As the Sanitation Supervisor you will be Responsible for overseeing sanitation processes, and helping to ensure that all finished products meet Masters Gallery Foods and customer quality standards and specifications. Also responsible for supervising and leading a team of Sanitation staff.
- Supervise and lead the Sanitation teams, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Develop and implement sanitation schedules.
- Establish and report sanitation metrics, presenting findings and recommendations to management.
- Train new employees on the safe use of chemicals and the seven steps of sanitation.
- Assist with overseeing the extended run process.
- Assist plant management in troubleshooting quality issues and food safety risks.
- Train and familiarize all employees with quality and sanitation standards, as well as help facilitate monthly meetings.
- Consult with management to address compliance issues and make recommendations to improve processes for quality, sanitation, and food safety measures.
- Perform comprehensive sanitation audits on each unique production process to determine sanitation effectiveness.
- Review and maintain sanitation documentation for quality and regulatory review.
- Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to plant personnel by understanding regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements.
- Conduct scheduled sanitation validation audits including dismantling and inspecting critical processing and packaging equipment to ensure proper clean ability/sanitation.
- Assist in identifying and resolving customer complaints related to quality products.
- Assist with the Pest Control Program.
- Oversee inventories of all cleaning supplies and chemicals for the Sanitation Department.
- Inspect, record, and review daily pre-production checklists and verify chemical concentrations and sign off as a PCQI.
- Monitor and maintain sanitation records, forms, and SOPs.
- Drive and lead the "right the first time" process control approach.
- Oversee cleanliness of the facility.
- Monitor plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and Job Practices. Coach employees and provide guidance.
- Use RedZone to effectively manage sanitation process, checklists, and other needed functions.
- Assist with sanitation tasks as required.
- Provide backup for Sanitation Leads and general supervision on an as-needed basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Management.
What you can Offer
- Bachelor Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or equivalent related field experience.
- Must have at least four years of progressively responsible lead or supervisory sanitation/quality experience.
- Specific knowledge of sanitation chemicals, processes, and safe handling practices.
- Requires a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to act as a direct liaison between general production and management regarding procedural issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Knowledge of the ERP computer system and Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of USDA and WDA food safety regulations and inspection protocol.
