The lab of Dr. Phil Bradley in the Computational Biology program at Fred Hutch is seeking a highly motivated Undergraduate Research Assistant in computational immunology. Applicants should have experience in C++ and Python programming, machine learning, neural networks, and setting up and running bioinformatics pipelines. Applicants should submit a CV or resume and brief statement of research interests.



Responsibilities

Supports ongoing computational biology research through activities such as bioinformatics analyses, machine learning applications, software development, and maintenance of computational pipelines.



Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Current enrollment in an undergraduate science program with an interest in a future career in science, healthcare, or a healthcare related field. Individuals with diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Must have completed coursework in introductory biology and fundamentals of data science.
  • Must have research experiences, outside of coursework, with bioinformatics and machine learning applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have completed at least two years of undergraduate program.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $21.30 to $30.13 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.
