No matter what stage of your career, you can build your future at Tempur Sealy! Pay Range: $107,000-$152,000 What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):
- Lead and set strategy for the individuals in the Cost Accounting and Bill of Materials functions providing support to multiple Sealy entities. Oversee the functions' routine procedures, including, but not limited to, the following activities:
- Creation and maintenance of items, bill of materials, and routes
- Item standard cost updates and maintenance
- Accounting for inventory, COGs, and associated variances, including appropriate reconciliations, research, and analysis
- Support of various product development and other projects
- Oversight of inventory counts in accordance with Company policy and internal controls
- Preparation of related audit materials
- Establish metrics for completion of tasks performed by the Cost Accounting and Bill of Materials teams and allocate resources accordingly.
- Establish strong relationships with business partners in product development, sourcing, manufacturing, operations finance, and sales finance.
- Review inventory policies and procedures and update as necessary to create efficient, best-in-class practices with strong controls to promote accurate management and accounting for inventory. Lead the implementation of policies and procedures across the network in collaboration with manufacturing business partners.
- Review master data management related to inventory items and transactions and propose updates to standardize and simplify logic.
- Participate in system projects to ensure accurate reporting.
- Participate in cross-functional project teams focused on product launches, creation of updated/unique transaction flows, and/or new logistics processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and inventory reconciliation.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (MBA or MSAC preferred).
- CPA license is strongly preferred.
- 8 years of relevant experience.
- 2 years of management experience.
