Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Worksite: 2016 Gees Mill Road, Conyers, GA 30013

Job duties: Plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes in industrial plant by developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards. Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential. Evaluate, recommend, and implement changes to current manufacturing processes by analyzing production, labor standards, and material cost, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future requirements. Provide design input to the New Product Development (NPD) and Design to Value (DTV) engineering teams to ensure optimal manufacturability. Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, equipment layout and establishing and implementing Design for Manufacture (DFM) plans. Evaluate capital equipment investments, prepare cost justifications and manage the overall implementation of capital equipment projects.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience in each of the following: Project management; Improving complex manufacturing systems; Coordinating and supporting new product introduction and department expansions; Presenting technical information; Using CAD tools; Developing and implementing standard engineering practices; and, Lean and Six Sigma manufacturing expertise.

Rate of Pay: $88,655.06/year
