About the role:

As an Operational Excellence and Training Lead you will shape longterm operational capability by architecting a cohesive learning and competency strategy, aligning workforce skills with future needs, and steering change programs that strengthen organizational resilience. You will be responsible for procurement-related communications and training under the APX Supply Chain Functional Excellence team. This includes creation, development, and execution of onboarding, training and mentorship programs specific to the APX Supply Chain organization as well as the ownership of internal communication programs for the APX Supply Chain portfolio.

You will report to the APX Supply Chain Operational Excellence Manager and work hybrid out of Cranberry Township, PA.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal, industrial, and nuclear safety is a fundamental part of this job
  • Lead the end-to-end training lifecycle including needs-assessment, planning, scheduling, enrollment, delivery logistics, attendance tracking, evaluations, and recordkeeping
  • Maintain a centralized training calendar for onboarding, refreshers and role-based development programs
  • Lead the design and standardization of training assets (videos, elearning modules, playbooks, simulations) and introduce modern learning approaches such as microlearning, digital learning, and scenariobased training
  • Map competencies to proficiency levels per each role and link to training paths, certifications, and development plans
  • Conduct quarterly skills gap analyses and recommend targeted upskilling or crossskilling strategies
  • Lead communications for process, policy, and system changes and act as the channel for operational updates, ensuring message consistency across all teams and shifts.
  • Create usercentric change materials such as quick reference guides, microvideos, release notes, and "what's changing" summaries, facilitate lunch and learns
  • Promote a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing across Operations
  • Help develop internal trainers, SMEs, and informal leaders through coaching and capability-building programs
  • Introduce recognition programs for upskilling, quality improvements, or learning achievements
  • Build problemsolving capability in the organization by coaching supervisors and SMEs on APX Supply Chain methods and corrective action planning
  • Establish problemsolving standards, templates, and documentation routines to ensure quality and closure



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in Organizational Excellence, Organizational Communication, Organizational Leadership, Public Affairs, Education, or Change Management
  • Proficient in business systems and reporting tools, including all of Microsoft 365 platforms


We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $100,800 to $126,000 per year.
