Please Note: This position is for UC Davis Veterinary Medicine and the work location will be at the UC Veterinary Medical Center located in University City (San Diego).

DESCRIPTION

Under supervision of the technician supervisor and hospital manager, maintain and prepare equipment, instruments, surgical implants and medical supplies for use in surgeries following established protocols. Disassemble, clean, disinfect, reassemble, inspect, and sterilize functional instruments and equipment for surgical services. Operate and maintain sterilizers, ultrasonic washers and other equipment related to the preparation and processing of surgical instruments, implants and supplies. Perform quality control tests on sterilizers and document results. Utilize computer programs to help maintain inventories of surgical implants, instruments and supplies. Receive inventory and distribute and dispense hospital supplies.

Annual Full Pay Range: $59,028 - $73,351 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $28.27 - $35.13
