We are seeking a talented Senior Director, Cybersecurity to join our Infrastructure, Operations, and Cybersecurity team at Fossil Group. In this role, you will lead the evolution of our cybersecurity function into a structured, risk-driven program with clear metrics, accountability, and executive visibility. This role is critical in enabling the business, strengthening our security posture, and providing clear, actionable insights to senior leadership and the Board.
An ideal candidate will possess strong program leadership capabilities, deep technical expertise, and the ability to translate complex cybersecurity risks into business-relevant outcomes, including emerging risks and opportunities related to AI.
What you will do in this role:
Develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned to business priorities and risk tolerance
Establish a structured cybersecurity program with defined risks, KPIs, benchmarks, and multi-year roadmaps
Build and deliver clear, concise reporting for senior leadership, including quarterly updates to the Board and Audit Committee
Lead governance, risk, and compliance efforts across SOX, PCI-DSS, and CIS frameworks, with progression toward ISO 27001
Mature risk management practices, including identification, prioritization, and tracking of remediation efforts
Evaluate and evolve the current cybersecurity operating model, reducing single points of dependency and improving scalability
Introduce and manage strategic partnerships with managed security service providers (MSPs) to complement existing capabilities (e.g., CrowdStrike Falcon Complete, SIEM)
Oversee incident response readiness and continuously improve detection and response capabilities
Provide leadership across key security domains, including identity and access management, network security, and cloud/eCommerce environments
Define and implement a strategy for secure adoption of AI across the enterprise, including governance, risk management, and control frameworks
Leverage AI and automation (including AI agents) to enhance cybersecurity operations, threat detection, and response capabilities
Lead and develop a lean, distributed cybersecurity team, fostering collaboration, documentation, and operational excellence
Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
10+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience, including leadership roles at the Director level or above
Experience building or maturing enterprise cybersecurity programs and operating models
Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements, including SOX, PCI-DSS, and CIS; familiarity with ISO 27001 preferred
Expertise in identity and access management (IAM) and incident response; strong network security background is a plus
Experience working with managed security service providers and hybrid security delivery models
Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, AI security risks, and emerging threat landscapes related to generative AI and autonomous agents
Experience applying AI or automation to improve cybersecurity capabilities (e.g., detection, response, risk analysis, or operational efficiency)
Experience enabling secure enterprise adoption of AI technologies, including governance, data protection, and access controls
Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and present cybersecurity posture to executive and board-level audiences
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate technical risks into business impact
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are a plus
