Position Summary Geffen Academy at UCLA is seeking a Learning Specialist who works closely with students, educators, parents/guardians, and administrators to support students with diverse learning needs, ensuring all students experience access to success in their classrooms. The Learning Specialist, under the direction of the Manager of Student Counseling and Learning Services, oversees a caseload of students with individual learning needs. This includes, but is not limited to: updating and maintaining records for students with Student Support Plans; providing executive function coaching, study skills instruction; and course work support; and meeting and communicating with families Additionally, the Learning Specialist collaborates with and assists educators in implementing effective research-based strategies, differentiated instruction, and the implementation of accommodations for students. The Learning Specialist is an integral member of the Student Support Team along with the school's Deans of Students, Academic Deans, and School Counselors. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
