Planning, Design & Construction Job Description
Role Summary MU Planning, Design & Construction (PD&C) provides services to improve the physical environment in support of MU's Institutional mission and vision, managing all efforts in the design and construction of new structures, renovation and repair projects and infrastructure development. Planning and Design provides MU with facility designs that optimize quality, timeliness, and cost effectiveness. Project Management guides MU colleagues through the planning and design process and oversees the work of contracted architects and engineers. Construction directs the physical implementation of the facility designs. Design Services provides a cost-effective means of delivering a large number of small and medium sized projects, primarily for renovation and repair. The unit provides architectural, interior design, engineering, space planning and move management services. Under the direction of the Director of Planning, Design and Construction, the Senior Project Manager provides professional engineering direction and project management for design and construction projects. 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Licensure or certification may be required. Preferred Qualifications
Anticipated Hiring Range
